Objective To study an innovative translational project that has examined the psychometric properties of computerized experimental neurocognitive tests developed for nonhuman primate models in healthy humans. Methods The CUPCB parameters were modified. 100 healthy control subjects completed the five CUPCB subtests(Target Identification, Target Tracking, Target Sequencing, Spatial Configuration, and Serial Probe Recognition), and t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient analysis had been conducted. The subjects were retested 2 weeks later to obtain the test-retest reliability. Results Based on healthy subjects, five cognitive tests of CUPCB evaluated different aspects of cognition; the performance on the CUPCB might not be influenced by gender or race, but it was related to age, level of education and intelligence; and five cognitive tests of CUPCB had high test-retest reliability. Conclusions CUPCB could be further used for cognitive assessment in patients undergoing ECT and monitoring the efficacy of treatment.
