摘要

In order to increase the production of advanced and high quality steel grades as well as to fulfill the growing expectations of the various industries served over a long term,steelmakers must have wide-ranging know-how in terms of the plant technology,operation,processes,quality control and,last but not least,certification procedures.This presentation gives an overview about the five important keystones which must be recognized to produce advanced steel grades and shows know-how examples according to these topics.Furthermore,it includes an introduction of MET/Con,which offers steel manufacturers the whole range of consultancy services they need to fulfill these keystones and be successful and reliable partners of their customers.MET/Con can rely on an expert network with more than 100 long-serving steel production experts so that MET/Con can cover all different steel production routes to produce weather resistant ship grades,tinplate for packaging,strip and plate for pipes,automotive grades and grain oriented and non-grain oriented grades for electrical applications (Silicon steels).
