Fundamental research on iron ore sintering with biomass fuel for saving energy and reducing emission

摘要
Replacing fossil fuels with biomass energy has great meaning for iron ore sintering production environmentally-friendly.In this paper,the influences of biomass fuel replacing coke breeze on sintering were studied.The results show that,with the proportion of biomass replacing coke breeze increasing,the vertical sintering speed raises,but the yield and the tumble index of sinter decrease.The appropriate replacing proportion is 40%,which the sintering indexes are decreased relatively small,and the emissions of SO2 and NO can be decreased by 38.15% and 26.76% respectively.Mechanisms of biomass fuel affecting sintering are shown that biomass fuel can be burnt earlier and burnt out faster than coke breeze due to its large surface area and high porosity,and the flame front speed is accelerated which will ruin the consistency of heat front speed and flame front speed.Meanwhile,the combustion efficiency of fuels decreases.And those will decrease the maximum temperature and high temperature duration time of sintering layer,which is disadvantage to mineralize of sintering mixture,eventually lead to lower sintering indexes.And then critical technique of passivating surface of biomass fuel to strengthen sintering was exploited.The combustion rate can be decreased properly by passivating biomass fuel with boric acid,and the indexes of sinter are improved.
