摘要
The indurated Callovo-Oxfordian and Opalinusclay rocks have been comprehensively investigated as host medium for deep disposal of high-level radioactive waste.Their major thermohydro-mechanical propertized are summarized in this paper: 1) fundamental microstructures and porewater state; 2) stressing-induced deformation, damage and reconsolidation as well as permeability changes; 3) swelling capacity and its impact on self-sealing of fractures, water transport and gas migration in resealed and intact conditions, and 4) thermal effects on the integrity of the host formations.
