摘要
In this work, preliminary results are presented on attempts to develop a new family of titanium alloys with high ductility induced by combined transformation-induced plasticity and twinning-induced plasticity effects. Mechanical tests carried out on a binary 尾-metastable Ti-12 wt.%Mo alloy designed by a formulation strategy based on the 鈥?em>d-electron alloy design鈥?show a very high work hardening rate. X-ray diffraction, electron backscattered diffraction and transmission electron microscopy reveal the mechanical activation of twinning and of 伪鈥? 伪鈥?and 蠅 phases.
