摘要
There are a number of large Neogene basins in the NE Mediterranean region, including the Antalya, Mut, Mersin, Adana, Iskenderun and northern part of Latakia basins (Figure 1). The broader area is subdivided by major structural features such as the Aksu-Missis-Andırın-Kyrenia-Zone, Ecemiş fault, Göksu fault, and Dead Sea–East Anatolian faults (Figure 2). There are some locally important smaller fault systems as well that trend approximately parallel to the major structures (e.g., Kozan, Aslantaş, and Yumurtalık faults).
