Arkady M. Aizenberg received his Ph.D. (1994) in physics and mathematics from the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics, Russia. Since 1994, he has been employed as a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Computational Problems of Seismology at the Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His research interests include the theory of propagation, diffraction, and reflection/transmission of seismic waves. Aizenberg is coauthor of the monograph Edge and Tip Diffractions: Theory and Applications in Seismic Prospecting published in 2009 by SEG.
