Cationic Pd(II) complexes [(N₂S₂)Pd(II)Me][BAr_F] (3) and [(N₂S₂)Pd(II)][SO₃CF₃]₂ (7) have beensynthesized by using a new diimine ligand 1,4-bis(2'-(2-thienyl)ethyl)-2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene (N₂S₂)that contains semilabile pendant thienyl groups. Bothcomplexes activated the Et₃Si-H bond and catalyzed theisomerization of 1-hexene to internal hexenes.
