Densities (蟻) of N,N鈥?hexamethylenebisacetamide (HMBA) in pure water and aqueous glucose and sucrose solutions have been measured at T = (288.15, 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, and 308.15) K with a quartz vibrating-tube densimeter. These experimental data have been used to calculate some important physical parameters, including apparent molar volumes (V), limiting partial molar volumes (V⁰), and transfer partial molar volumes (螖_trsV⁰). Another physical parameter, molar refraction at the sodium-D line (R_D), has been computed from the refractive index (n_D) measured by a refractometer at 298.15 K. The variations of all above parameters are discussed in terms of interactions occurring in the solutions.
