The synergetic effect of US and EO for CBZ degradation was studied.

The reaction rate apparent constant varied from 0.0033 min−1 to 0.0127 min−1.

The highest degree of synergy (33%) was recorded for 1.0 A and P = 40 W.

A relatively high degradation rate (99.5%) was recorded using the US-EO process.

The benefits of US were observed during a long-term period of treatment of CBZ.
