Well-being scores, including measures of positive emotion, predict lower rates of exercise-stress induced myocardial ischemia in a cohort of patients with ischemic heart disease. This relationship persists when controlling for negative emotion. This relationship persists when controlling for traditional health-related behaviors that are associated with ischemic heart disease.
