Evolution of stacking faults in substituted nickel hydroxide spherical powders

Co- and Zn-substituted nickel hydroxide spherical powders were prepared. DIFFaX modeling tracked the evolution of stacking faults in the powders. Stacking faults tend to increase with precipitation time, except with Zn. Higher degrees of growth faults were correlated to electrochemical indicators. Careful optimization of precipitation conditions can improve performance.
