Effect of EGR on combustion and PM emissions of a DISI engine was investigated.

KLMBT was advanced by 8 CAD at 7.0 bar IMEP (ISFCnet reduced by 4.1%).

NOx was reduced and HC was increased with EGR addition.

EGR addition generally increased the accumulation mode particles.
