Simultaneous acoustic and seismic noise measurements were made in urban areas. A geophone was connected to an integrating sound level meter to record seismic noise. The measurements focused on the 6 Hz–1 kHz band of interest to sensor applications. Traffic noise usually dominates, but construction sites had the highest levels.
