Symptomatic SCA2 individuals had a higher chance of carrying at least one “G” allele at GSTO2 rs2297235 than controls. GSTO2 genotypes are potentially associated to age at onset. GSTO2 genotypes showed no significant association to 60° Maximal Saccade Velocity or SARA score.
