Plasmodium parasites undergo cell death upon treatment with DV-disrupting drugs. Disrupted parasite DVs can be observed using a fluorescent Ca2+-binding reporter. This paper describes a phenotypic screen using an imaging flow cytometer (IFC). Autosampler fitted IFC allows high-throughput screening of big compound libraries.
