Complicated quasiperiodic oscillations and chaos from driven piecewise-constant circuit: Chenciner bubbles do not necessarily occur via simple phase-locking
Arnol’d resonance webs in nonautonomous piecewise-constant oscillators are studied. We formulate a generalized procedure for bifurcation analysis of these dynamics. The Lyapunov exponents can be calculated with a precision similar to that of maps. Inevitably, the hysteresis considerably distorts the Chenciner bubbles. We numerically and experimentally observe Farey sequence.
