Oreochromis mossambicus collected from an important river of Maharashtra, India, showed altered biochemical parameters. Antioxidative and cellular stress parameters are major bioindicator for pollution. Histopathology is also a biomarker for pollution. Acetylcholine esterase is an important biomarker for pollution.
