Soils from São Domingos can be considered contaminated with As, Cr, Cu and Pb. Bioextracts obtained from both plant populations showed similar organic composition. Main organic compounds in the bioextracts were benzenepropanoic acid and viridiflorol. No transfer of potentially hazardous elements occurred during extraction with hexane. Bioextracts from São Domingos plants had the highest α-pinene concentrations.
