Eight sequence boundaries are recognized for the South Guizhou Depression and Central Guangxi Depression, including two supersequences (second-order sequences) SS1 composed of lowstand systems tract (LST), transgressive systems tract(TST) and highstand systems tract (HST), and SS2 composed of transgressive systems tract (TST) and highstand systems tract (HST). The reservoir rocks within the above-mentioned sequence stratigraphic framework consist of organic reef (bank) reservoirs, dolostone reservoirs and fissure-type reservoirs. The favorable reservoir rocks include the organic reef (bank) limestone reservoirs in the transgressive systems tract, organic reef (bank) limestone reservoirs and dolostone reservoirs in the highstand systems tract.
