Application of the Geochemical Mineralization Energy Field Method to Extraction of Lead-Zinc Geochemical Anomalies in the Lhasa-Zedang Area, Tibet

     The Lbasa - Zedang area, located in the Gangdese - Lhasa magmatle arc I1- 2 , is an important part of the Gangdese metallogenic belt. Complex geological evolution history created the complex geological background for metallogcnesls of this area. This paper adopts the geochemical mineralization energy field method to delineate the lead - zinc it geochemical anomalies in this region. The results show that this method can process and reflect ore abnormal information to a maximum extent in low background value regions or concealed ore districts. In anomaly classification we combine the anomaly maps and background images so that it will not miss the high background value area and can reveal the low background value abnormal region effectively. According to the geology data, the analysis shows that the mineralization in this area is reated with hydrothermal alteration, secondary fracture structure and magmatite of the Himalayan - Yanshan period. This is consistent with the mineralization area delineated by the geochemical mineralization energy field method.
