Geological and Geochemical Characteristics of the Tuwu Porphyry Copper Deposits in Hami, Xinjiang

详细信息
摘要

Located in the northern margin of the Zhungaer-Kazakesitan plate which this plate was collided with Trim plate, the Tuwu porphyry copper deposit is one of the important deposits in the well-known east Tianshan copper-concentrated region. Copper and copper mineralization occur within the Late Devonian volcanic sequences of the Qi’eshan group. Sulfur isotopic analysis results reveal that sulfur of the ore fluids was mainly derived from deep sources, and the oxygen results reveal that magma was mainly derived from a mixed source of igneous rocks and upper crust rocks, it implies that the magma came from upper mantle, but was mixed with a small amount of crust material. Re-Os and Ar-Ar isotope dating show that copper deposit have two group ages, early Carboniferious (347.3±2.1 Ma) and middle Carboniferious (322.7±3 Ma), Single-grain zircon U-Pb dating results suggest that granite-porphyry emplacement at least two times(358301 Ma), make-up the Devonian-Carboniferous Qi’eshan group of the island arc magmatic belt on the palaeogeographically margin between the Tarim plate and Zhungaer-Kazakesitan plate.
