It is possible to perform regional velocity analysis, velocity modeling and continuous formation mapping through time-depth conversion. The varying velocity mapping technique is successfully applied to the thrust belt in the southern margin. The seismic interpretation results can be used to perform regional and continuous mapping and structural analysis. The North Malas buried structures and the Huo’erguosi, Malas and Tugulu footwall covered structures are identified. The structural shape, trap size, fine variation of structures and contact relationships between structures are well defined. All these provide important basic data for exploration in the study area.
