摘要

///Travertine in the Jiuzhai Valley was formedin a periglacial environment 0.52~0.03 Ma ago. Then, the various dissolution landforms such as pot hole, terrace lake, dissolution lake and lake waterfall were formed on the early travertine by periglacial retreat and water acidization resulting from temperature going up. The key to the protection of the lake waterfall landscape is to have control of dissolution of travertine.
