The term “Danxia Landform” was first identified and coined in China.Danxia Landform research in China is focused on primary theoretical research, scientific discussions of macro spatial distribution and qualitative description of the classification. The studies have recently been concerning quantitative, visualization and experimental research for Danxia Landform. For comparisons with national and international research, Danxia Landforms should be applied as a primary example of macro and micro, qualitative and quantitative, theoretical and practical descriptions and analysis.
