Based on the exploration practices of recent years and achievements of predecessors, this paper introduced Karakazyk Cu-Au deposit＇ s geological characteristics, then studied and discussed Cu-Au deposit＇ s metallogenic regular- ity and genetic type. The ores mainly occur as veinlike or lenticular bodies in middle-late Variscan intermediate-acid in- trusive bodies and the contact zones of vein rock and Carboniferous marble, dolomited-marble, dolomite. The ore bodies is strongly controlled by intrusive bodies, vein rock and strata, forming a typical skarn-type Cu-Au deposit, with a few fracture-controlled alteration type ore bodies. Through the result of the research, it is prospected that the outside and sub- sided skarn zone still have exploration potential.
