During the coastline marine sediment multi-purpose regional geochemical survey of hemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Shanghai, the 947 top sediment samples are collected, and the 52 chemical elements, the pH va1ues and the organic carbon from the samples are under analyses and testing. The distribution and characteristics of surface sediment and sub sediments were summarized. The main types of sediments are sand, silty sand, sandy silt, silt, clayey silt, in which sediments of clayey silt is the most widely distributed. The results indicate that it is positive correlation between percent sand with SiO₂, Sr, Na₂O. It is positive correlation between percent clay with other elements.hemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
