A Primary Study on the Content Features and OccurrenceStates of Gallium in Bauxite from the Wuchuan-Zhengan-Daozhen Area, Northern Guizhou Province, China
Bauxite ore deposits in the Wuchuan-Zhengan-Daozheng area are the important bauxite resources in Guizhou Province, China. In this study three representative bauxite ore deposits (Wachangping, Tongtangdi and Gaolianwo) were selected to examine the content features and occurrence states of gallium (and other major elements and trace elements) by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and Electron Probe Microanalysis (EPMA) technique. The results showed that the contents of gallium are high in the bauxite and bauxitic shales of ore-bearing rocks series, within the range of 56.1×10-6~131×10-6 (averaging 91.0×10-6) and 25.1×10-6~47.6×10-6 (averaging 36.8×10-6), respectively.
