The formation mechanism and failure mode of the Dongjia dangerous rock-mass in Dayuan of Qingchuan County are studied based the topographic evolution, geological structure and deformation features of the slope. The dangerous rock-mass were resulted from the creep of the base and the topple-crack of the upper limestone and they present a failure of toppling mainly, possible sliding and falling.
