摘要
Based on the catastrophe character of the oil/gas reservoir abnormal body and discontinuity features,this paper advances the oil/gas reservoir boundary cusp catastrophe technique. In this technique, seismic time series x (t) is transformed into the standard format v(x) of the cusp catastrophe model,and balance equation and forfication set equation can be obtained,then,catastrophe parameters can be estimated, which can determine the spacial distribution extent and boundary of an oil/gas reservoir abnormal body. This technique has gained remarkable geologic effects and provides a new technical support for oil/gas exploration and production.
