In this paper, the authors applied the technique in weekly seismic monitoring to forecast water inrush from coal seam floor in Wutongzhuang coal mine of Fengfeng coal field and found that these micro-seismic activities are complied with the inrush mechanism of "pressured water progressively intruding up into the floor aquifer". The monitoring results show that the fracturing or micro-seismic areas and water inrush can be forecasted by calculating mechanics parameters inversely and simulating mining activities. The technique is of significance to mine safety and efficient production in mining. There is no doubt that the technique has a great potential in industrial applications.
