This paper analyzes the structural dynamic environment, regional stress field and seismic geological structure characteristics in Fujian and Taiwan provinces. Through the comparison of earthquakes （M_L≥4.5） in Fujian and earthquakes （M_S≥7） in Taiwan since 1971, it’s shown that earthquakes （M_S≥7） in Taiwan have remarkable triggering effect to earthquakes （M_L≥ 4.5） in Fujian. After the 7.2 earthquake of Hengchun Sea in the southern Taiwan on December 26, 2006, active moderate earthquakes in Fujian and violent changes of GPS quarterly movement velocity have further proved this phenomenon.
