///Exploration for the most exposed porphyry Cu-(Mo-Au) deposits in East China has been almost finished. How to explore deep ore deposits and reassess explored deposits have become major tasks for geologists. Therefore, it is very necessary to understand the mechanism of magmatic hydrothermal deposits in various tectono-magmatic settings. Latest research and progress of the types, characteristics and mineralization of hydrothermal deposits related to igneous rocks, subvolcanic rocks and volcanic rocks under plate collision and post-orogenic extensional settings are summarized in this study. These fluid systems include magmatic hydrothermal fluid, mixed fluid of magma and meteoric water, and meteoric water-dominated fluid. The compositions and natures of various fluids, intrusion types and their morphological characteristics, and temperature and depth constrain alteration characteristics, which were formed by interaction between fluid and between fluids and rocks.
