The controls of burial mode on sandstone reservoirs compaction effect were obvious. But the qualitative description of burial mode couldn’t reflect many factors contained by burial mode accurately. The TDI index，which integrated these factors，such as “time”，“temperature” and “pressure” during burial history，was used to express the differentiation of burial mode quantificationally. Exemplified by Cretaceous Bashijiqike formation in Kuqa depression，there were clear relativity between TDI index (Ma·km)and reservoir intergranular volume(％)，which indicated that TDI index did not only characterize the differentiation of burial mode quantificationally，but also was used to predict reservoirs quality.
