摘要
The Mongonon area of Myanmar borders on Yunnan Province of China by a river. The geologic and structural characteristics of Mongonon area resemble to those in the neighboring area of Yunnan, with well correlated stratigraphy. The gold deposits in the area are of mainly structural-altered rock type. The orebodies, strictly controlled by structures, occur within faults in the NE-trending ductile shear zone, appearing in groups of lens in the surface. Numerous gold deposits and mineralized bodies are formed in the large-scale ductile shear zone, which is 15 km long and 1 km wide in Myanmar and stretches to Menglian County, Yunnan Province, China.
