Carlin-type gold deposit is one of important gold deposit types in China. The study indicates that Carlin-type gold deposits in China occur as mesothermal and epithermal ones in a tensional-sedimentation collision orogenic setting, and are confined to an impure carbonate rock or epimetamorphic rock or pyroclastic rock. Data on fluid inclusion and isotopic composition reveal that ore fluids for the Carlin-type gold deposits in China were of diversity and complexity.
