The assessment of regional geological hazards is the basis of the study landslide hazard. In this paper a “black box” type evaluation approach is proposed based on the Kriging interpolation theory. The landslide hazard zonation of the study area can be obtained by applying the Kriging to interpolating the scale of the historical landsides. Taking the Cangxi County of Sichuan Province as an example,  the feasibility of Kriging interpolation theory in regional landslide hazard assessment is verified.
