Effects of Natural Recharge and Artificial Pumping on Underground Saltwater
详细信息
摘要

Saltwater contaminated area in the downstream of Dagu river of Qingdao was taken as an example, the effect of natural recharge on underground saltwater was simulated with the sand groove experiment, and the restoration of pumpage to underground saltwater was discussed. Changes of salinity in the observation points of sand groove were measured, and the horizontal changes of salinity under the process of river supplement in dry and rainy seasons were observed; effects of continuous and intermittent rainfalls on vertical changes of salinity with time were simulated; the restoration of pumpage to saltwater under the artificial pumping was simulated. The results show that river supplement can partly reduce the salinity of saltwater, and the restoration of saltwater near river is much better; compared with dry season, river can accelerate the process of fresh water displacing saltwater in rainy season, and the restoration range of saltwater increases; infiltration of atmospheric rainfall can decrease the salinity of saltwater surface with the influencing depth of about 10 cm, and the vertical change of salinity is delayed; two kinds of rainfalls have the difference on salinity of saltwater, and the effect of infiltration of continuous rainfall on the decrease of salinity of saltwater is more significant than that of intermittent rainfall; during the process of artificial pumping, salinity of each observation point decreases from fresh water boundary to impervious boundary; when the pumpages are 0.08, 0.16, 0.24 L • min 1, the restoration times of saltwater are 315, 165, 105 min, so that the larger the pumpage is, the easier the saltwater can be restored.
