摘要
The Wulangai Basin is located in the northeast Inner Mongolian Plateau and belongs to the northeast part of the Erlian Basin Group to the west of the Da Hinggan Mountains. On the basis of the observation on late Late Pleistocene and Holocene sediments, thermoluminescence dating and sporopollen analysis, this paper deals with the accumulation sequences, genesis and age of the Quaternary deposits in Gaorihan area as well as their responses to environmental changes. The lower and middle parts of the first terrace are composed of late Late Pleistocene deposits with the typical dualistic structure and are formed between 70.0kaB.P.and 10.0kaB.P..The upper part of the first terrace and the floodplain are composed of Holocene deposits with the typical characteristics of floodland sedimentary facies and are formed between 10.0kaB.P.and 0kaB.P..The paleoclimates in the Gaorihan area had experienced dry and cold, cold and wet, mesogenous dry, light cold and wet, cold and wet,dry and cold, cold and wet, mesogenous climate and cool humidification since 70.0kaB.P..During the Quaternary glaciation, the paleoclimate of the Wulangai basin might be periglacial climate. The paleogeographic environments of the area had obviously changed since 10.0kaB.P..
