///As a western mining city, Liupanshui City is located at the kaster mountainous area in Southwest China, where there are complicated landforms, weak ecosystem and unstable environment. In this paper the origin research and protection measures of the geological hazards are discussed in order to provide reference and guide for the management and urban construction of Liupanshui City.
