In order to increase the exploitation of groundwater and reduce the water level drawdown after groundwater exploitation as much as possible, an underground dam and radiation wells are built to cut-off runoff and exploit groundwater simultaneously. Through the numerical modeling of calculation and prediction, intercepting underflow project not only intercept effectively the groundwater runoff, but also control the water level drawdown, increasing the underground storage capacity in order to accommodate more infiltration of flood. The results show that underground dam with radiation well as the intercepting underflow project plays an important role in groundwater exploitation.
