Tianshui City is located in the southeastern part of Gansu Province, where complex geological conditions and increasing disturbances to geological environment caused by human engineering activities are raising a series of environment problems constraining urban economic development. Among them, attenuation and contamination of groundwater resources are the greatest. The paper studied the problems of geological environment, assessed economic losses raised from these problems.
