摘要
It is not universally applicable that the formula on bentonite content of drilling fluid is calculated from methylene blue capacity, and the coefficient is derivative from a presumption about known cation exchange capacity. Clay cation exchange capacity is not a regular number. The accurate cation exchange capacity number must be known if bentonite content is calculated accurately. It is appropriate that “the bentonite equivalent weight” is named by the calculated result on the basis of methylene blue capacity.
