Reservoir of Shahejie formation in Chengbei fault terrace zone is typical of sand-mud alternating layer, with thin single sand layer and thick accumulated sand. Also, longitudinal wave impedance difference between reservoir and non-reservoir sections is so small that the conventional post-stack impedance inversion is difficult to effectively predict the reservoir. To this end, through the analysis of the basic characteristics of reservoir and the law of well logging re- sponse, we can find it better to distinguish reservoir and non-reservoir by using convergence of Vp and Vs .Therefore, to do research on the thickness of reservoir, means adopted in this article are pre-stack elastic impedance inversion which is the mainly method and combined seismic multi-attributes analysis and multi-parameters regression. As shown in the re- search ,the result of pre-stack elastic impedance inversion was highly consistent with the actual drilling results and suc- cessfully completed predicting the reservoir-thickness of sha-2 member reservoir in Chengbei fault terrace zone validly.
