The determination of pore types and the calculation of their components play a very important role in the exploration and development of oil and gas, while the traditional methods such as cast thin-section analyses, mercu- ry injection and so forth are time-consuming, high-cost and low coverage. Taking Xu Member 2 in Xujiahe Forma- tion of Penglai area in Siehuan Basin as an studying example, the corresponding relationship between the standards of pore types, pore diameter and NMR T2 spectrum can be established and divided through the clustering analysis. And then the pore types can be determined and their component contents can be calculated by means of NMR Log- ging. The contrast results between the calculations and thin-section identification show that the method has played a certain role in making clear of the microstructures of the pores in low-porosity and low-permeability reservoir.
