Study on the Low-Velocity Discontinuity at the Depth of 170 km Beneath SSE Station in Shanghai, China

摘要
The low-velocity discontinuity at 170 km depth was determined with multiples on the receiver functions beneath the SSE station in Shanghai, China. The synthetic receiver functions calculated from full-wave field seismograms explain the observed results perfectly. This low-velocity discontinuity might result from the low velocity abnormities in asthenosphere. The result is also consistent with the result from surface-wave tomography.
