Relationship of Under-Compaction of Mud Rock and Oil and Gas Reservoir in Xujiahe Formation in Xinchang Area, Eastern Sichuan
By researching the characters of under-compaction of mud rock in the deep oil and gas reservoir in Xinchang area and their relativity with reservoir, cap formation, migratory aggregation and distribution, the paper proposes the following views. Firstly, there is under-compaction of mud rock division in Xujiahe Formation in Xinchang area, where there is a rich distribution of oil and gas reservoir. Secondly, the extraordinary formation pressure holds back the further compaction of sandrock to some extent and physical property of the formation is better. The Number 3 and 5 of Xujiahe division become the valid cap formation. Finally, the residual pore fluid pressure that is produced by the hydrocarbon in the under-compaction mud rock and the crack that is formed by tectonism are favorable to the oil and gas migration and accumulation to the sandrock in the under-compaction division.
